Structure study of electrodeposited ZnO nanowires

چکیده
In this work, we report on the structure study of electrodeposited ZnO nanowires. The samples were mounted as a working electrode and the deposition was performed in a classical three electrodes electrochemical cell. For obtaining ZnO nanowires, the working electrode was a polycarbonate membrane with a random distribution of nanometric pores, gilded one side to ensure electric contact. The morphology and structure characterizations of the different diameters ZnO nanowires were carried out by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and highresolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The electrons pattern diffraction confirmed the same crystal structure of electrodeposited ZnO nanowires indexed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) on electrodeposited ZnO thin films: hexagonal ZnO phase with cell parameters aZ0.32584 nm and cZ0.52289 nm. Both TEM investigations and HRTEM images reveal a monocrystalline structure for electrodeposited ZnO nanowires. A roughness of few nanometers on the wire surface was observed. Meanwhile, no preferential growth direction has been obviously detected. q 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Electrodeposited ZnO nanowires as photoelectrodes in solid-state organic dye-sensitized solar cells.
A new approach for developing solid-state dye-sensitised solar cells (DSSCs) on glass/ITO and plastic substrates (PEN/ITO) is presented in this manuscript. A two step electrodeposition technique has been employed to realize the ZnO photoelectrodes. First a ZnO thin film is deposited on the ITO substrate and subsequently on this buffer layer 650 nm long ZnO nanowires are grown. The different nan...
متن کاملInvestigations of Magnetic Properties Through Electrodeposition Current and Controlled Cu Content in Pulse Electrodeposited CoFeCu Nanowires
CoFeCu nanowires were deposited by pulsed electrodeposition technique into the porous alumina templates by a two-step mild anodization technique, using the single-bath method. The electrodeposition was performed in a constant electrolyte while Cu constant was controlled by electrodeposition current. The electrodeposition current was 3.5, 4.25, 5 and 6 mA. The effect of electrodeposition current...
متن کاملInvestigations of Microstructures and Magnetic Properties through Off-time between Pulses and Controlled Cu Content in Pulse Electrodeposited NiCu Nanowires
NiCu alloy nanowires arrays were embedded into the anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) template by ac-pulse electrodeposition. Different off-time were used in electrolyte with constant concentration of Ni and Cu and acidity of 3. The effect of deposition parameters on alloy contents was investigated by studying the microstructure and magnetic properties of as-deposited NiCu alloy nanowires. Atomic forc...

In this research, Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures were synthesized by low cost hydrothermal method. The grown ZnO nanostructures had a dispersed distribution with nanowire morphology and the specific surface area of about 7 m2.gr-1 which they have crystalized in hexagonal wurtzite structure. ZnO nanowires/polyvinyl alcohol network (ZP) on the epoxy glass substrate with cu-interdigited electrods...
متن کاملOptical Properties of ZnO Nanowires and Nanorods Synthesized by Two Step Oxidation Process
ZnO nanowires with a diameter of 70 nm and nanorods with a diameter in the range of 100-150 nm and two micrometer in length were grown on glass substrates by resistive evaporation method and applying a two step oxidation process at low temperatures, without using any catalyst, template or buffer layer. XRD pattern of these nanostructures indicated a good crystallinity property with wurtzite hex...
